BIG FIVE!!

Ella is FIVE!!!
Happy Birthday Ella Bella!!!
(More to come!!)

Run Dave RUN!!!!!

Over the weekend, Dave had the opportunity to run at the Ragnar-Wasatch Back Relay Race... BOY!!! That was an ADVENTURE for him!!! Its 188 miles starting from Logan finishing in Park City. There was a team of 12 and each one of them gets 3 legs... by the time they get to their 3rd leg... everyone wants to die. Thankfully they didn't... THEY MADE IT in 31 hours!

This is Dave's team "Vicious and Delicious" in Van 2... before the race.

Here's Dave running on his first leg in Snow Basin... 3.1 miles with 900 feet elevation

RUN Dave RUN!!!

This is our good friend Scott who is in our ward... he is a GREAT motivator for Dave!!

One of those REALLY late night runs... Scott handing over the "baton" which is a slap on bracelet to keep track of the time at the finish line.

Okay... first off... PLEASE excuse my crappy camera skills... this one kinda caught me by surprise that he passed by so quickly without notice... there is a lot of people... ignore the end. Here is Dave and his team running to the finish line!!! YEAH!

Checking out the finished time... 31 hours!!!

Dave is SO glad to see his favorite fans waiting at the finished line! So worth it!

Showing the kids his medal!

All of his 12 teamates... "Vicious and Delicious!"

RAGNAR!!! Can't wait till next year!!!

***Side note: There is no picture of Dave running his 2nd leg unless someone on his team took one... we've talked about compiling some pictures together later on... if it does happen, I'll post it for sure! Here's a quick story to make it all better!

Medicinal Powers of the Taggy - by Dave

So I'm laying on the bed tonight and Shannon is massaging my legs from my rough weekend and having great fun inflicting some serious pain as she tries to "help it feel better" and as I'm laying there yelping in great pain and almost in tears, my son comes running in with his special blanket and says, "Quick dad, take the the taggy" ----- If any of you know Coleman, you know how funny and special that statement was.

She's Natural!

This is Ella's 2nd fish she caught... Not a bad size!!

Ella and Dave and bunch of other friends and family all went to East Canyon to fish last weekend... I was pretty impressed that Ella was able to catch the fish all by herself with a little help from Dave. It sure does made her daddy proud! They brought the fish home to eat... yes... I was forced to "try" a bite. I ate it. No comments. Way to go Ella!!

ZzZzZz... Hornet's Nest!!!

My awesome, hard-working husband tends to SLEEP TALK/WALK...almost all the time. Well... he just had a hilarious episode last night that I had to share. This is not this first time he's done this... This has been going as long as we have been married. Yes, I married to an entertaining guy!! Love it! Okay, back to last night... I was sleeping and had woken up feeling a little cold came to find out that the blanket had fallen off the bed. I had found Dave standing up on the side of the bed fiddling around with the blanket that had fallen off... I asked him what he is doing... Looking rather nervous he said, "There is a hornet's nest right there" pointing at the blanket. I was too tired to play along (yes, I play along till he figured it out he he) so I picked up the blanket and Dave looked at me saying that I was CRAZY and ran down the hallway to get away from the "swarm of hornets". I chuckled a little and went back to sleep... after ten minutes or so I think he finally woke up out of his sleep walking mode and got into bed. The next morning, he does not remember any of this...

I should write down all of his "moments"... but this is a start. I'll put down few things that he had done all throughout our marriage till now.

*Nearly bit my finger off thinking I was a fat man chasing him and decides to bite that man's finger off.
*Waking up to find him rearranging our night stand to block the doorway to keep bad people out...
*He had locked himself outside and took him half hour to figure out how to get back in (I sleep with my hearing aids off so all the banging or yelling doesn't do. He had woken up finding himself outside before trying to wake me up... he remembers this one.)
*Hid the baby blanket thinking it was a baby and hid it under his pillow at the hospital... good thing I was nursing the baby when that happened.
*Brought the kids in bed with us thinking they had been crying... which they aren't.
*Telling me that I shouldn't let the baby sleep on my chest because the chemicals off of my chest is harmful for the baby.
*A LOT of work MECHANICAL terms on how things should work or shouldn't work.
*I get saved by him thinking I was falling off the cliff when I move to the next side.
*Our bedroom gets flooded and tells me not to get out of bed or I'll drown.

There are MANY more to go... See? He's pretty entertaining while sleeping!
