BIG FIVE!!

Ella is FIVE!!!
Happy Birthday Ella Bella!!!
(More to come!!)

Run Dave RUN!!!!!

Over the weekend, Dave had the opportunity to run at the Ragnar-Wasatch Back Relay Race... BOY!!! That was an ADVENTURE for him!!! Its 188 miles starting from Logan finishing in Park City. There was a team of 12 and each one of them gets 3 legs... by the time they get to their 3rd leg... everyone wants to die. Thankfully they didn't... THEY MADE IT in 31 hours!

This is Dave's team "Vicious and Delicious" in Van 2... before the race.

Here's Dave running on his first leg in Snow Basin... 3.1 miles with 900 feet elevation

RUN Dave RUN!!!

This is our good friend Scott who is in our ward... he is a GREAT motivator for Dave!!

One of those REALLY late night runs... Scott handing over the "baton" which is a slap on bracelet to keep track of the time at the finish line.

Okay... first off... PLEASE excuse my crappy camera skills... this one kinda caught me by surprise that he passed by so quickly without notice... there is a lot of people... ignore the end. Here is Dave and his team running to the finish line!!! YEAH!

Checking out the finished time... 31 hours!!!

Dave is SO glad to see his favorite fans waiting at the finished line! So worth it!

Showing the kids his medal!

All of his 12 teamates... "Vicious and Delicious!"

RAGNAR!!! Can't wait till next year!!!

***Side note: There is no picture of Dave running his 2nd leg unless someone on his team took one... we've talked about compiling some pictures together later on... if it does happen, I'll post it for sure! Here's a quick story to make it all better!

Medicinal Powers of the Taggy - by Dave

So I'm laying on the bed tonight and Shannon is massaging my legs from my rough weekend and having great fun inflicting some serious pain as she tries to "help it feel better" and as I'm laying there yelping in great pain and almost in tears, my son comes running in with his special blanket and says, "Quick dad, take the the taggy" ----- If any of you know Coleman, you know how funny and special that statement was.

She's Natural!

This is Ella's 2nd fish she caught... Not a bad size!!

Ella and Dave and bunch of other friends and family all went to East Canyon to fish last weekend... I was pretty impressed that Ella was able to catch the fish all by herself with a little help from Dave. It sure does made her daddy proud! They brought the fish home to eat... yes... I was forced to "try" a bite. I ate it. No comments. Way to go Ella!!

ZzZzZz... Hornet's Nest!!!

My awesome, hard-working husband tends to SLEEP TALK/WALK...almost all the time. Well... he just had a hilarious episode last night that I had to share. This is not this first time he's done this... This has been going as long as we have been married. Yes, I married to an entertaining guy!! Love it! Okay, back to last night... I was sleeping and had woken up feeling a little cold came to find out that the blanket had fallen off the bed. I had found Dave standing up on the side of the bed fiddling around with the blanket that had fallen off... I asked him what he is doing... Looking rather nervous he said, "There is a hornet's nest right there" pointing at the blanket. I was too tired to play along (yes, I play along till he figured it out he he) so I picked up the blanket and Dave looked at me saying that I was CRAZY and ran down the hallway to get away from the "swarm of hornets". I chuckled a little and went back to sleep... after ten minutes or so I think he finally woke up out of his sleep walking mode and got into bed. The next morning, he does not remember any of this...

I should write down all of his "moments"... but this is a start. I'll put down few things that he had done all throughout our marriage till now.

*Nearly bit my finger off thinking I was a fat man chasing him and decides to bite that man's finger off.
*Waking up to find him rearranging our night stand to block the doorway to keep bad people out...
*He had locked himself outside and took him half hour to figure out how to get back in (I sleep with my hearing aids off so all the banging or yelling doesn't do. He had woken up finding himself outside before trying to wake me up... he remembers this one.)
*Hid the baby blanket thinking it was a baby and hid it under his pillow at the hospital... good thing I was nursing the baby when that happened.
*Brought the kids in bed with us thinking they had been crying... which they aren't.
*Telling me that I shouldn't let the baby sleep on my chest because the chemicals off of my chest is harmful for the baby.
*A LOT of work MECHANICAL terms on how things should work or shouldn't work.
*I get saved by him thinking I was falling off the cliff when I move to the next side.
*Our bedroom gets flooded and tells me not to get out of bed or I'll drown.

There are MANY more to go... See? He's pretty entertaining while sleeping!

Ahh CRAP! (literally!)

I thought I'd write this because it was pretty funny looking back after what had happened... (sorry no pictures but try to visualize it if you like)

**WARNING** For those who have weak stomach... don't read this...

Okay... I KNOW every moms always have a hilarious poo story to share and if you think that it will never happened to you... well YOU'RE WRONG! This is my 2nd WORST poo explosion experience in PUBLIC... yes, one with Ella and one with Coleman... when will it ever stop?

First off... lets rewind WAAAAY back when Ella was a little wee one... maybe just barely turned 2. I was at Target. Ella, of course, sat in the seat of the shopping cart... as I was browsing around at the END of the store came to find out that Ella was making those "ew" face and I observed to see what was the matter was... to my horror... Ella had the WORST runny poo that literally flooded her seat and is dripping all over the floor. I panicked got the wipes out and cleaned her up and the cart as best I could... I hurried to the front and asked politely for a target bag so that I can dispose her soiled clothes. Well, this clueless young chap wanted to know why... I lost my patience with him and said, "Well, my daughter just crapped all over her pants and I need it to put her soiled clothes in it!!" I swear... I want to slap that kid. It was pretty bad. Luckily, I had an extra pair of clothes for her to change into.

Okay... now lets flash forward to our present time... Coleman who is now 2 years old. We are at Macey's grocery store. Right in the middle of shopping getting the food we need... Ella, who was in the cart basket and Coleman sat in the seat. Ella was doing the "potty dance" so I asked her if she needed to go now or will she be able to hold it... she had to go. So, on the way to the bathroom... I took Ella out and told her that I would wait for her outside of the bathroom so that I don't have to leave the groceries behind and taking Coleman out. While waiting for Ella, Coleman said something about "Go Potty" thinking he was asking about Ella... so I said "Yah Ella's in potty" Finally, Ella was done and I went on to finish my shopping... as I just barely got to the aisle I needed to go... Coleman pointed his finger that has "stuff" on it and I looked closely trying to figure out what the heck it was and where it came from... then I looked at Coleman tilting to the side with his leg making his "ew" face... I closed my eyes and pleaded that this is NOT happening... LOVELY! It did.. Coleman has RUNNY poo all the way down his leg. As I held his poo covered finger hoping that he had not smeared on anything... I opened up my bag and to my HORROR that there was NO WIPES!!!! AHHHH!!! I panicked. I panicked till I pulled myself together holding Coleman's poo covered finger and pushed the shopping cart and got to the baby aisle (thank goodness it was only 2 aisle down but still it seems like a long way to get there!) I grabbed the wipes and wiped Coleman's finger off and hurried back to the bathroom... I parked the cart outside of the hallway (yes they have a HALLWAY to get to the bathroom) and I knew I shouldn't carry Coleman because I'd get poo all over... well, I set Coleman down and as he walked to the bathroom... MORE poo clumps kept falling out of his shorts making a TRAIL to the bathroom... AHHH HORROR!!! As I got to the bathroom... the stall with the changing table in there was OCCUPIED!!! AHHHH! Oh heavens... Im sure my blood pressure went up to the roof with all the stress and literally freaked out. Thankfully I was able to hold it in without bawling or anything like any mother would do. So I hurried cleaned Coleman up and as I was walking out of the bathroom... I swear, a CROWD of people had to go to the bathroom and they were dodging away the poo trail that Coleman left behind... I put the kids back in the cart (of course I cleaned of the seat) and hurried wipe up the "trail" without anyone seeing. Ahhh. It was mortifying and I ended my shopping right then. (Of course I paid for the wipes.)

Yes... this is going to be one of the kid's embarrassing story to tell when they get older. :o) Can't wait.

Sleeping Beauty

As I was getting myself ready for bed... I always check up on the kids before I turn out the lights for the night... This is what I found... Gotta love her!

Well... LONG TIME NO BLOG! Sorry about that... I just wasn't in the blogging mood for a while. Hopefully this time it'll get better. Alright... In the last few days, I have tried to upload a bunch of pictures of Disneyland onto the slide show... with the retarded internet services I have, it will NOT complete it for me without freezing up and lose connection that claimed "NOT RUNNING"... Well I've decided to give it one more try... NO SUCH LUCK. All you're gonna see is 3 pictures of Disneyland... (I have more pictures than that but I'm too irritated to upload some more right now... if you like to see more, feel free to come by and I'd be thrilled to show them to ya!) by the way... thanks for holding your horses.

Swimming, swimming, swimming...

Last night, Dave came up with a fun idea of taking us all out to the Ogden Athletic Club to go swimming... We called them to see what time they are opened till (called at 8 pm) and they said they closed at 9... and figured/hoping they will just let us in for the last hour for free... nope... they want 20 smackaroos just to get ME, ELLA, and COLEMAN in for an hour... so not worth it. So after telling Ella the disappointing news that we were not going... she bawled. I knew this was coming. She was all ready to go in her swimsuit... I felt bad too... so I came up with a brilliant idea that she and Coleman can pretend that the bathtub is the pool and that they can wear their swimsuits in it! They liked that idea. Nice, warm bath to play in and they played and played till they are ready to get out. I can't wait for summer to come... so that they can go play in the Splash Pad for FREE!Sorry for the crappy picture quality... it was off of my phone... can't ditch the kids in the tub just to get the camera right?? Everytime they sees the camera... both of them will say "Cheese... Cheese... Cheese..." and not look at the camera... this is the best shot out of 3. Ah kids...

Valentines, President's Day, Birthday... OH MY!!!

Well, Valentine's Day came and went!! Dave and I ditched our kids to our friends house on friday night and had the night to ourselves... it was heavenly! We went to dinner at Timbermine... it was FANTASTIC and the best thing ever is that our bill was only .96 cents!!! Thanks to our gift card that covered the whole bill! We were going to go to the Temple that evening but due to the nasty cold I had... I wasn't feeling too great to go. After dinner we just went home and curl up in our bed and went to sleep... it was beautiful!! The next morning, we picked up our kids and our friend's kids to keep overnight (it was a trade that we did and it worked out great!) and the girls was darling and so much fun! We went to Dave's folks house for a family gathering/dinner... it was a great little Valentine to get together!

President's Day always falls on a Monday so that means everyone (well mostly everyone) got a day off from work!! Dave and his folks and some friends went ICE FISHING up at East Canyon... (I did not go... I wasn't up for it... maybe another time.) They all caught a fish... Dave out fished everyone as usual.

Matt waiting for his fish...

Ginny waiting for her fish...

Drew waiting for his fish...

Drew's friend waiting for his fish too...

Matt got one!! Had to kiss it...

Ginny got one too... proud to show it off...

Yes! Drew got one!!!

Drew's friend had to bite it... he too got one!

Finally Dave got 4! Way to go!

At last, on Tuesday it was COLEMAN'S Birthday!!! He is TWO years old!! Yikes, where did the time go?! We had a small party just us family on his birthday and we had all of our families over on Saturday to celebrate his day! I made a Lightning McQueen cake all from scratch... boy that kid sure LOVES cars, trucks, tractors, anything with wheels! He also sure LOVES balls too!!! Coleman has started showing his true personality that cracks us up... He has started talking in sentences... so clear that you can easily understand what he was saying. He is such a joy in our family and we love him so much!! Happy 2nd Birthday COLEMAN!!!

Coleman had a great birthday! He was spoiled with all kinds of wheeled vehicles from our families!!

Daniel, Katie and Addi gave Coleman a BIG bag full of BALLS!!! Boy, that kid was in LOVE! Thanks everyone for coming and Coleman sure loves his gifts!!

Lightening McQueen cake I made from stratch... Coleman loves it!

He knows what to do with the candle on the cake! He blew it out so soon before we could even finish the song! Good Job!!
