Where are the Terry's??

We are here!! Man... its been a crazy month... We've got some happy news and some sad news.

First off... the internet is still out on our computer but we did get the computer working and thankfully our pictures are not lost anymore... I'm using my phone to type this new post while my KIDS yes KIDS both of them are down for their nap which it rarely happens for Ella... :o) We've been too busy to deal with the internet right now so its not our top priority so I apologize for the lack of our blogging update.

Lets see... ah yes... the last post is about my mom jumping off the plane... my dad took the news in a surprise "I can't believe you actually did it?!" expression... although my mom's friends want to kill her for doing this without telling them. Haha. It was all good and they did enjoy watching her video as she jumped off.

The 4th of July was really good... it was pretty laid back... we went to watch my mom in the Hooper parade... she was with her co-workers displaying their Postal Service float. Hooper is very mild... NOTHING like the traditional Kaysville parade. It was enjoyable though. After the parade I took the kids up to North Ogden Cherry Days... it was really crowded and I didn't stay very long because I was worried about losing Ella in the crowd. Then we went to my folks house for a SLIP-N-SLIDE PARTY and a yummy BBQ with our friends? I tell ya... the slip-n-slide brings back lots of our childhood memories and defintely some grass stains as we go off the slide. Lastly, we went to Davis High to watch the fireworks... it was kinda disppointing because it was short. Ah well the kids had a great time!

Hmm lets see... oh ya we've been working like mad trying to finish everyone's project that they needed help on... and working on our house... the rock is coming along slowly and hoping to be done with it before it gets too cold.

The sad news was that my grandpa passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on the 14th of July... he was packing up to get ready to go to Mississippi to his family reunion (that's where he was from) the night before and he was feeling rather tired and call it a night and went to sleep and never woke up... He was finally together with my grandma again after 27 years. What a reunion that is for them!! We miss him terribly and knowing that he is together again and will be seeing them again. We have been busy pulling stuff together for his funeral and cleaning out his house. To be honest I had a fun time helping out... it was so good to hear stories about my mom's family and how my grandpa joined in her family (he married my grandma at the SLC Temple when my mom was 11) and listening funny stories about him.

After that we had a Terry family reunion over the 24th weekend... Sadly one family couldn't make it up because Abby had an accident in the canal... she broke her leg badly as she jumped in the water where she thought it was deep enough to jump in... hearing the story just gave me heebie jeebies. She is required to have some surgery (which she is going to have it on the 4th of August) to repair her broken leg... we made her a Get Well card and hopefully she'll have a speedy recovery. What we did: We had breakfast, all the ladies did crafts (we made FHE house) and the men went shot gun shooting, later that afternoon we came back and made lunch and went to the Clark Plantarium and back home to have BBQ and clean up... we were gonna watch old videos of the Terry family when they were kids but they all were too tired to watch... I was kind of bummed because I was looking forward to it. All in all we all had a good time.

Well as soon I get the internet up and running and not having to use my teeny phone to update the blog... and of course the pictures are still waiting to be shown. I can't believe that July flew by so quickly and that August is coming in few days. I'll do my very best to get the pictures coming and keep it updated. Whoo my thumbs are tired haha. Ta ta for now!

Oh that was funny of what Ella said! They say the funniest things don't they?! I don't exactly know where we were at. I think we were north east of the high school, right by the new building that being built next to the high school. Too bad we didn't run into each other!!

I am sorry to hear about your Grandpa, it's really sad to lose a grandparent. I hope you are okay! It's such a blessing to know that we will see our loved ones again.
