By the way....

Happy BLOGSVARY!!! Yup that's right! Its been ONE year today since I've joined the blogging bandwagon... Here's many more to come!!!

goofy kids

I was making dinner for the kids and all I hear both of them laughing at each other... This is what I find them doing... They dumped out the cookie cutters out of the clear plastic bucket and put their face in it and squished it. It was a funny sight to see!

I love it when the kids are able to entertain each other and come up with funny, yet creative way to keep them busy. They make me laugh.

Ready... Get set... GOOO!!!

I finally got Coleman on video playing with his cars... Boy... that kid loves it!!

He's not even 2 yet... he sure knows what to do!

Time Out for Women

Lets rewind back a little bit here... Okay in Christmas time... its a tradition for Dave's family to have the holiday poppers on our dinner plate and we would cross our arms and hold one to each other's poppers and PULL at the same time where all the poppers can pop at the same time and we would get a fun surprises inside the poppers... My awesome mother-in-law with many talents hand made them and filled in surprises for each person. Well, all the men got tickets to go see the MONSTER TRUCKS show and the ladies got to go to TIME OUT FOR WOMEN!!! Wahoo! I love fun surprises!!
Okay now lets move on forward... Time Out for Women finally came and went! It was so much fun and it was a much needed spiritual boost for us. The event started Thursday night and again Friday morning till about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. On Thursday, my mother in law came up and we went to the evening section (Katie came up the following day) and we had some AWESOME singers and speakers... Michael McLean and Kenneth Cope both sang that night and Brad and Debi Wilcox and Chris Stewart spoke to us... during the break... I came up to Brad and told him to read my lips and mouth out the words "YOU DID GREAT!!" and gave me the BIGGEST hug ever! During his talk (he was the first to speak and the break was after) he used to teach 6th grade at an elementary school back in the day and he had a deaf little girl in his class and she came up to him and asked him in her broken deaf English language... "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS HAPPY?! DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM??" He told her to read his lips and said "Yes, we all have problems but don't let our problems take our positive attitude away." Basically his talk really inspired me and I had to come up to him to tell him that. He was SO excited and was so enthralled that I was able to catch everything he said during his presentation. He and his wife are the far the most hilarious couple ever! Love it! After the show... we talked with Michael McLean and Kenneth Cope very briefly and had a quick photo shoot :) The best thing of all is that we got to sit in the front row and sit with all the well known LDS authors and couple of General Authorities and their wives... Sister Oaks sat by us that night! Ahh the benefits of being deaf. LOVE it!

Ginny and I with Micheal McLean!!

Kenneth Cope!!!

(Pictures doesn't do justice... its from my phone, I didn't think we're allow to have cameras but we can! The light from my camera is pretty blinding...)

On Friday, Katie (my sister in law) made it up with us and so GLAD she made it. We all got a cute FREE bag!!! We had Emily Watts, Wendy Ulrich, Michael Wilcox, and Emily Freeman to talk with us and Kenneth Cope sang a lot of songs to us... It was such a fun, fun, fun day! Thanks GINNY!!!

Coleman my man...

This little man LOVES Hot wheels... or any other "wheeled" cars. He plays with it DAILY. He'll go to his spot and play and play for hours by himself. Whenever hes done with it he'll sing to himself "Clean-up, Clean-up..." and would line his cars up in a straight line. (I did NOT teach him that) It just cracks me up every time I see it. I love my little guy.

Coleman playing with cars on a bucket

See how he likes to line them up after when hes done playing with them. There's more in many different location in the house. Silly boy.

Boy... I'm Quirky!

Alright... This has been one of my "tag" forever ago so I'm doing it now. I have to reveal 6 of my quirkiness... so here ya go.

1.) I ALWAYS eat around my sandwiches, hamburgers, etc. The middle part is the best and I had to save it till the end.

2.) I unload everything out of the dishwasher onto the counter before I put them away... it drives my dad crazy sometimes.

3.) If I'm eating Lucky Charms cereal... I would eat all the cereal part first and save the marshmallows for last... I love how the marshmallows tasted just by itself.

4.) When handeling raw meats... I wash my hands like 5 times before, during, and after handling it. The idea of getting Samonella or E coli freaks me out.

5.) If I start on a project... I absolutely HAVE to finish it... or else it will never get done.

6.) I hate tomatos but I LOVE salsa! Even fresh ones!

I tag anyone who has never done this before.

Still dumbfounded...

Yes... I MADE this dress. I could never thought I could do this kind of big sewing project... Last Friday night I got together with one of my good friends and her friends for a girl night out. We sewed our daughter's a dress. If it wasn't for Meredith (my friend's friend) we would not get this whole dress right. We sewed and sewed and sewed till about 4 in the morning and decided to call it a night. It was a fun, learning experience and would definitely do it again.
The amazing thing is that I did NOT mess up and that I actually COMPLETED a project and Ella got to wear it to church today!

There once was a snow man...

Ella has always wanted to make a snowman... so we dressed up in our snow clothes and head out to the park (I dont have a back yard for us to play in). Thank goodness it was so nice today and the kids played for a good half hour till their fingers froze.

Ella sporting out her new snow clothes that Santa brought over to her.

Coleman checking out the snow... this is his first time out playing in the snow and surprisingly he really enjoyed it!
Ella trying to make a snow angel out of the hard snow.
Coleman wants to try it out too.
The snow was pretty pathetic to play in but we found a big hill of snow that the snow plows made and decided to climb on it and slide all the way down was a lot of fun! Ella going down!!
Coleman's turn! He thought this was fun and keeps saying again and again!

Snow Buddies

Ella has been dying to go out and make a snowman... I thought we would be getting fresh snow this morning and will be able to make a good snowman... unfortunately the weather changes its mind (which I have NO problem with having a SUNNY, BLUE skies!!) so the snow was too hard and it was not packing well to make a ball so we improvised by making a snowman by drawing it in the snow and put carrot for nose, rocks for eyes, pine cones for buttons, pumpkin seeds for the mouth and at last Christmas tree branches for the arms. Ella was happy with the finished work... eventually we will have to make a REAL snowman. We had a great time playing in the snow... Ella was happy and Coleman was all pooped from playing.

Gotta love her

Today was the first Sunday of the year where our Church starts at 9 in the morning (I LOVE 9 o'clock church!) and I woke up not feeling so super... I told Dave that he needs to get the kids ready for Church. Ella wanted to dress herself... without any help. I was not feeling so great to argue with her so I let her go at it... this is what she wore to church today.
Yah. I should be awarded for being the coolest mom for letting my 4 1/2 year old to wear this. She wore green flower short sleeved shirt along with colorful stripe dress along with brown tights with pink and white polka dots and red flower shoes. Her hair was left like this. She was so proud. Gotta love my Ella Bella.

HaPpY nEw YeAr!!!

First blog post for the year of 2009!! We had a great time celebrating New Year with our good friends, Scott and Cindi, last night... we played all sorts of games, eating all kinds of yummy foods and talked while the kids went off playing and having a grand time! Then the men decided to make this fun by making "homemade" bombs to create some noise! (no worries... nothing was harmed or damaged...) There are a lot of things that I would like to do to accomplish my goals for the year of 2009...

  • Keep in budget
  • Make/keep family happy
  • Experience all sorts of new things IE:) new recipes, sewing, anything relates with homemaking skills
  • Make my life in order by being organized
  • Keep on top of my blogging
  • And having the best year ever with a positive attitude!

I wonder how long it will take me to get used to writing the year of 2009... Hope everyone will have a fabulous year to come!
